Food Pantries for Wicomico Residents
The Maryland Food Bank Eastern Shore Branch offers a mobile food pantry with canned meats, vegetables and other non-perishable items. The pantry serves people in remote areas or those without a local pantry.

Financial Help from Joseph House
Some food pantries provide additional assistance beyond food. The Joseph House in Salisbury helps with essential bills. This may be bills for:
- rent
- mortgage payments
- security deposits
- utilities
- prescriptions
- health care
Anyone can apply for help, regardless of where you live. Applications are done in person, though and funds are available on a first come, first served basis.

Clothing
Agape House provides clothing on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and the 1st and 4th Saturday of the month from 10-12:30 pm. It's located at 2303 Hudson Drive, off Gordy Rd. Hours may vary.
Utility Assistance
Utility assistance is available for those who qualify through the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP).

You can also get assistance with the Maryland Energy Assistance Program application from SHORE UP! in Salisbury.
In addition to the utility assistance programs from OHEP, you may also qualify for a payment plan, like Budget Billing, from Delmarva Power.

Mental Health Support at Life Crisis Center
One of our Call Center Network organizations, the Life Crisis Center in Salisbury, supports the tri-county region of the Eastern Shore of Maryland with mental health support.
Life Crisis Center also offers:
- counseling
- legal services
- supervised visitation
- other support for domestic violence victims, adults sexually abused as children and victims of sexual assault
Counseling is free for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
Health Department Mental Health Services
The Wicomico County Health Department also offers mental health and substance use programs and services.
They provide:
- child, adolescent, and family outpatient mental health services
- naloxone training
- adult methadone maintenance
- suboxone program for residents addicted to opioids
- several community health programs and services
