New Health and Human Services Data Dashboards

211 Maryland, the central connector to health and human services for the State of Maryland, announced today the availability of its new data dashboards that provide searchable tools to better understand the health and human services needs of Marylanders across the state. The new dashboards organize 211 Maryland network’s data by time, location and concern/question, and is curated in an easy-to-navigate interactive online portal. The availability of the new data dashboards come in time for the nonprofit organization to celebrate National 211 Day on February 11, 2021, which will educate Marylanders about the free life-saving resources and information available by calling 2-1-1.

211 Maryland’s information network, which covers all jurisdictions within Maryland, responded to more than 412,000 calls, texts and chats in 2020, the largest volume ever experienced by the nonprofit. The data behind these inquiries are categorized by COVID-19-related needs, food insecurity during COVID-19, caller needs, contacts and demographics.

“It is reassuring to have a dedicated disaster response partner, like 211 Maryland, in place that can help disseminate vital information while connecting Marylanders with real people who are at the ready to provide support before, during and after an emergency or public health crisis,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “Currently, we are encouraging everyone to opt-in to 211 Maryland’s MDReady text alert program to stay informed about the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Simply text MDReady or MDListo to 898-211 and you’re all set.”

Marylanders who connect with 211 Maryland’s network gain access to free and confidential resources, including:
