Haven Ministries

Haven Ministries, a coalition of Christian churches in Queen Anne's County, offers housing assistance, food, clothing and shelter to families in need.

There is a resource center and food pantry in Queenstown behind Royal Farms. Queen Anne's residents can use the food pantry once a month, with a valid photo I.D. You can make an appointment by calling 410-827-7194.

There is also a mobile food pantry truck in Sudlersville, Maryland. The food truck offers non-cooked food for those with emergency food needs in northern Queen Anne's County.

Funding may be available through St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Haven Ministries, and Kent Island United Methodist Church for rent and utilities payments when available.

You can reach out to these agencies or call 2-1-1 to find resources in Queen Anne's County that can help with utility bills and eviction prevention.

Housing Help

If you need help with housing, Queen Anne's Housing & Community Services offers a range of programs helping with eviction prevention, homelessness, first-time homebuyers, and emergency housing repairs. You can also check their resources page for information on housing locations throughout the county, senior housing, assisted living facilities, and shelters.

Utility Help

If you need help paying your utility bill, the Queen Anne’s County Department of Social Services can assist with state energy grants such as the Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) for heating cost, Electric Universal Service Program (EUSP) for electric bills and other grants through the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP).

211 has an energy assistance guide with detailed information on income guidelines and how to fill out the form correctly.

You can also contact Delmarva Power or Choptank Electric to set up a payment plan.
