Utility bills
If you need help paying your utility bill, contact Choptank Electric Cooperative and ask about a payment plan to avoid disconnection. Call 1-877-892-0001 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Income-eligible residents can also apply for energy assistance from the Maryland Office of Home Energy Programs. The Department of Social Services can help with the application process.

Food
The ShoGo Mobile food service brings the market to you, with planned stops throughout Caroline and Talbot Counties. Get fresh, low-cost groceries including produce and prepared meals.
There are food pantries located throughout Caroline County. In addition, some food pantries support individuals and families with other essential needs.
Martin's House and Barn (St. Martin's Barn) in Ridgely, Maryland, has a food pantry, a thrift shop for low-cost clothing and household items, and a family shelter.
Aaron's Place in Denton, Maryland, provides food, rent and utility assistance, mommy-and-me classes, and exercise classes.
For families with school-aged children, Caroline County Public Schools' Food for Learning program offers backpacks with food for the weekend.
