If you need help paying your utility bill, contact SHORE UP! Worcester County in Newark. Review income qualifications and the right way to fill out the forms, so your application is not delayed. 

 

Emergency financial help

Emergency financial help is available from the Giving Other Lives Dignity (GOLD) nonprofit. They may be able to support emergency food requests, crisis needs and utility shut-off notices. Worcester GOLD also supports basic needs for the homeless.

Legal Aid also offers help with civil legal issues, including housing, family law, employment, public benefits and consumer/financial issues. The Salisbury office services the Lower Eastern shore, including Worcester county.
